Commentary based on submissions by Kingsley Ubani.

Political commentator Kingsley Ubani has questioned the location of businesses and organisations associated with members of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s family, arguing that leaders promoting investment in Anambra should face scrutiny over their own economic commitments to the state.

In two commentaries, Ubani cited British company registrations and questioned the registered address of the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative in Nigeria.

His central argument concerns leadership by example: whether those encouraging businesses to invest in Anambra are demonstrating comparable confidence through their own activities.

However, the company records establish specific corporate appointments and registration details. They do not provide a complete account of the family’s investments, assets or sources of income.

Questions About Healthy Living

Ubani criticised what he described as the registration of Nonye Soludo’s initiative outside Anambra, alleging that it was registered in Nigeria in 2023 using an address in Independence Layout, Enugu.

That registration date and address have not been independently confirmed from a Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission record for this article.

British Companies House records confirm that Healthy Living Foods Limited, company number 10534127, was incorporated on 21 December 2016. It was initially named Healthy Stories Limited before adopting its current name in January 2017.

The company is listed as active, with a registered office in London. Nonyelum Frances Soludo is listed as a director and secretary.

These records do not, by themselves, establish that the British company and the Nigerian Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative are the same legal entity.

There is also evidence of the initiative’s activities within Anambra. An August 2026 report, citing a statement from Nonye Soludo’s media aide, announced a free computer training programme at the Healthy Living Complex in Udoka Housing Estate, Awka. This is relevant context when assessing claims about the organisation’s presence in the state.

The Other Companies Cited

Ubani also identified three British companies in support of his call for scrutiny.

Charles Frances Properties Limited, company number 09973154, was incorporated on 27 January 2016 and is listed as active. Its latest confirmation statement is dated 12 September 2026.

The register lists Chinua Belolisa Naeto Soludo and Ifeatu Nnenna Soludo as directors appointed on 6 February 2024. Nonye Frances Soludo’s directorship ended on that date.

Forrest Heights Estate Ltd, company number 16067099, appears in Chinua Belolisa Naeto Soludo’s appointment record, which lists an appointment beginning on 7 November 2024. The company is recorded as dissolved.

Nova Tech Consulting Ltd, company number 14780547, was incorporated on 4 April 2023 and dissolved on 10 September 2024. Its recorded business activity was information technology consultancy.

These distinctions matter. A dissolved company should not be presented as a current operating business, and a directorship held by one person should not automatically be described as Governor Soludo’s personal ownership.

Leadership, Investment and Public Confidence

Ubani’s broader contention is that political leaders should demonstrate confidence in the communities they govern.

He questions how effectively an administration can persuade investors to establish businesses in Anambra when companies associated with members of the governor’s family are registered elsewhere.

That is a legitimate subject for political debate. Nevertheless, registration outside Anambra does not establish that a person has no investments within the state. Nor does a registered office necessarily identify every location where a business operates.

The records reviewed also do not establish wrongdoing, misuse of public funds or the sources of money used for personal travel.

A Case for Clearer Information

The issues raised would benefit from clear information about the organisations’ legal identities, activities and relationship to any publicly supported programmes.

Any assessment of the administration’s investment record should also examine identifiable projects, employment, local business conditions and measurable economic outcomes.

Ubani’s commentary raises questions about public confidence and leadership by example. Those questions are best pursued through accurate records, transparent explanations and scrutiny that distinguishes documented facts from political conclusions.

Editor’s note: This article reports and contextualises opinions expressed by Kingsley Ubani. Company information reflects the public records reviewed on 18 October 2026. The alleged Nigerian registration details of the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative remain unverified in this article. The records reviewed do not establish that Governor Soludo owns every company mentioned, has no investments in Anambra, misused public resources or pursued an airport project for private family purposes. No response to these specific criticisms was obtained during preparation of this article.

Further record check

The Companies House pages reviewed again for this update continue to identify Healthy Living Foods Limited as active and Nova Tech Consulting Ltd as dissolved. The officer appointment record lists Forrest Heights Estate Ltd as dissolved and Charles Frances Properties Limited as active.

These entries concern individual legal entities and recorded appointments. They do not establish the full extent of a family’s investments, every beneficial ownership interest or the source of funds. The Nigerian registration claim remains unverified in this article.
