How to request a correction

Send the article URL, the passage you believe is inaccurate, your proposed correction and supporting evidence. If requesting a reply, explain your connection to the subject and provide a statement suitable for attribution.

How corrections are handled

Review the original material and the evidence supplied. When a material factual correction is made, add a clearly dated correction note explaining what changed, and update the article’s modification time. Preserve the original publication date. A request alone does not establish that an article is inaccurate.

Minor spelling or formatting fixes may not need a correction notice. Disputed opinions should remain distinguishable from correctable factual assertions.
